Reccomended Vampire Movies and Horror films?!

Question: Hello,

I'm expanding my collection of Vampire (and horror) films, and I'm looking for something that maybe you would reccomend or would like to mention. I enjoy both modern and old films, top notch and B rated, it's all good to me, so suggest anything you know or enjoy/hated.

Films I already have Vampire wise are:
1. Interview with the Vampire
2. Queen of the Damned
3. Nosferatu (1922)
4. Nosferatu the Vampyre
5. Mr. Vampire (Geung si sin sang)
6. Revenant
7. Van Hellsing
8. The Blade Trilogy
9. The Underworld Trilogy

For Horror, God knows what I have in my library really. Too many. XD

Thanks!

VAMPIRES:
Dance of the Damned
Fright Night 1 & 2
The Lost Boys~For many people, this is one of the best vampire films ever made.
To Die For (1989)~Don't mistake the Nicole Kidman movie for this one, which stars Brendan Hughes as the gentle vampire.
Son of Darkness: To Die for II (1991)~Michael Praed takes over the role of Vlad Tepesh.
Howling VI: The Freaks (1991)~Brendan Hughes as a werewolf and Bruce Payne as a vampire of a different ilk.
Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1990)
Razorblade Smile
The Breed (2001)
Vampire Circus
Dracula: Prince of Darkness~Christopher Lee
Dracula Has RIsen from the Grave~Christopher Lee
Brides of Dracula
Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter
Vampire Hunter D~anime~two versions//Both are good.
After Dark~starring Adrian Pasdar of "Heroes" and "Mysterious Ways" AND "Prosper"
Subspecies~Some are dedicated to this series, while others slice and dice it. I'm not a devotee, but I watch them when I can catch them.
Bloodstone: Subspecies II
Bloodlust: Subspecies III
Bloodstorm: Subspecies IV aka Subspecies 4: Bloodstorm
Vampire Journals~separate from Subspecies series but features one of the characters
Blood & Donuts
Red Blooded American Girl 1 & 2~I've only seen the first one.
Goke~Body Snatcher from Hell (Japanese 1968)
Devils of Darkness
Vamp~Grace Jones
Vault of Horror~a portmanteau film (multiple stories), one segment of which is about vampires
Once Bitten~comedy
Love at First Bite~comedy
Love Bites~comedy

Have you seen "Kindred: The Embraced", a short-lived TV series? It had some very good moments.

OTHER HORROR
The Haunting (original)~Julie Harris
House on Haunted Hill (original)~Vincent Price
Dementia 13 (b&w original)
Curse of the Demon aka Night of the Demon
Fiend Without a Face~creature feature
The Tingler~creature feature
I Walked With a Zombie~Don't let the title put you off. This is a wonderful film.
Isle of the Dead
The Leopard Man
The Body Snatcher~Henry Daniell~~not the sci fi one
Cat People~original b&w
Curse of the Cat People~more fantasy than horror
Bedlam
The Seventh Victim
The Mummy~Boris Karloff~~unlike any of the b&w mummy films that came late
The Mummy~Arnold Vosloo
The Mummy Returns~Arnold Vosloo
The Scorpion King
The Gravedancers
Lair of the White Worm~It's a Ken Russell film, so it's bizarre!
Altered States~another Russell film
Lady in White
Fear No Evil~starring Stefan Arngrim
Witchboard~There are sequels, but I haven't been able to watch them yet.
The Gate~There is a sequel, but it isn't as good.
SSSSSSS~Strother Martin as the mad scientist who seems like a nice guy
Bone Snatcher
Black Sunday~Barbara Steele
Black Sabbath~a portmanteau film with Boris Karloff
Dagon~a rather good H.P. Lovecraft-based film
The Unnamable~another HPL-inspired film
The Unnamable II: The Statement of Randolph Carter
The Dark (2005)
The Gorgon
The Creeping Flesh
Candyman~There are sequels, but the first is the best in my estimation. I might revisit the series someday. Say his name three times!
Urban Legends: Bloody Mary~Say HER name three times! It's much better than I thought it would be. It borrows spiders from a very creepy scene in "The Believers", which definitely is worth checking out. For more voodoo, watch "The Serpent & the Rainbow". For more hallucinogenic creepiness, watch "Jacob's Ladder".
Dead Mary (2007)~I watched this twice the other night on On Demand (free!) It's gruesome but interesting, a different take on "Candyman" and "Bloody Mary". "Dead Mary" also goes for the three mentions! Only, she has a different trick for summoners.
Phantoms aka Dean Koontz's Phantoms
Pinata: Survival Island~This is one of those that is so bad it is fun! Just watching the beastie change from man-in-suit to animation is entertaining.
Carnival of Souls (original b&w)
White Zombie~Bela Lugosi
The Black Cat~Boris Karlott and Bela Lugosi~~very grim and quite brutal
Island of Lost Souls~b&w version of "The Island of Dr. Moreau"
Island of Dr. Moreau~Burt Lancaster and Michael York
Island of Dr. Moreau~Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer
Horror Express
Terror Express
The Fog (original)~Jamie Lee Curtis
The Fog (remake)~Actually, after 10 viewings, I'm starting to not mind this one so much if I view it as a separate entity.
Caltiki the Immortal Monster~We're getting rather obscure here, but this one still has its chills. I have a very grainy copy that I watch occasionally. I like it, and I'll defend it!
Wraiths of Roanoke
Mimic~creature feature with two fair sequels~~When do creatures films cease being horror and enter the purely sci fi realm? I've pondered that. "Alien" is a terrific horror film as well as science fiction, but the creature is an alien. "The Tingler" operates better as horror than sci fi though it is supposed to be part of the anatomy. Hmmm... Perhaps I should post a question for debate. Will "Cloverfield" give us a horror or sci fi monster? If it IS Cthulhu, it would be both! I VOTE CTHULHU!
Burn, Witch, Burn
Rosemary's Baby~It should never be overlooked!
Kwaidan (Japanese)
Premonition (Japanese 2004)
Route 666
The First Power
Spellcaster
Chronicle of the Raven
The Devil Rides Out
Q aka The Winged Serpent~quirky creature feature
Urban Legend: Bloody Mary
The Roost (2005)
They~This one would play well with "Darkness Falls" and "The Boogeyman" as a tripleplay about fear of the dark.
Headspace (2005)
The Howling
Wolfen
Wolf
Cursed
Curse of the Werewolf
The Werewolf~Steven Ritch
The Wolfman~Lon Chaney, Jr.
Bad Moon~Michael Pare and Mariel Hemingway
Ginger Snaps 1-3~I recommend the first two, but the third is the weak one, a flashback to the beginning. (Thanks for the reminder!)
An American Werewolf in London~The "in Paris" one is much more brutal; I like the original more.
The Company of Wolves
Prince of Darkness aka John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness
Venom
Pumpkinhead~There are two sequels, but they aren't as good as the first.
Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2~I like both!

Wow! There are so many others that I could suggest! I love SF/fantasy/horror of all levels. You never know when you will find a gem, as I did with "Dance of the Dead", which stars Cyril O'Reilly as a vampire who ends up with a woman who seems a willing victim till she decides she wants to live! It's more talk than throat-tearing. If you want something different, give it a try.

I'm very much a Hammer and Amicus fan, so I listed a smattering of movies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...
Great mentions below! I second the motion on these!
VAMPIRES: Cronos (Spanish), The Hunger, Innocent Blood and The Forsaken.
OTHERS: Dog Soldiers aka Wolf Soldiers, Fragile, The Wicker Man (original with Edward Woodward)(How could I have forgotten that?!), and The Changeling (Shame on me for forgetting!).
Some of those mentioned even I haven't gotten to see~yet!
Just cinema but keep an eye out for "30 days of night" but there are loads of box sets:
hammer house of horror,
universal pictures,
ju-on,
plus box sets of 80s stuff like "Halloween" and "Friday the 13th",the link below should also help.
