HA HA HA HA. I'm not a religious person, but i love that you asked this question. It didnt make nearly as much as predicted and it did kinda stink, but that's what they get for blowing stuff out of proportion. Just like the Harry Potter flicks and the Davinci Code.
Nope. People will make their own opinions with or without the movie. But I was glad to see that the movie didn't do as well as they thought it would. I'm pretty sure that the studio was hoping all the press was going to help with the box office. It didn't. That just shows that no matter what kind of controversy pops up, if the movie isn't very good, people will not see it.
The Golden Compass was the top movie this weekend! It got first place and made millions.
It is a great movie and the books are even better. It is about thinking for yourself and the importantance of freedom! Everybody should read the books.
