Question: ok here goes i watched this movie years ago thats all i rember is that there was husband and wife and kids not sure how many but they were locked in thier house all the house was sealed with metal walls they found it hard to breath in there and couldnt get out

Sounds like normal sub-urban life to me. Is this a John Hughes film.
