The Dirty Dozen
The English Patient

This was a fantastic question... I love stories about that time..

The one with the guy from Bosom Buddies.

Windtalkers is a definately good one

has nicolas cage

Mrs.Miniver, The Human Comedy,Sophie's Choice,From Here to Eternity, To Hell and Back(the Audie Murphy Story),there was also a very good one with Claudette Colbert ,Shirley Temple(when she was a teenager) that dealt well with a family making do with a father in the war,and what they go through, the sacrifices made by those at home. I'll Be Home For Christmas(a TV movie), Saving Private Ryan, and The Diary of Anne Frank.

I always liked the movie "Battle Cry" with James Whitmore. His portrayal of Sgt Kenny who suffers through "the Battle of the Bulge" with frost bitten feet is great. He looked like a really grizzeled combat hardened soldier. If I was at war I'd want somebody like him with me.

Band of Brothers..... Svving Private Ryan.... Cross of Iron.... Battleground.... Halls of Montezuma

Saving Private Ryan
Schindler's List

Saving Private Ryan, Kelly's Heroes, When Trumpets Fade, The Dirty Dozen, Band of Brothers, The Longest Day, The Great Raid, Patton, Stalingrad, Sands of Iwo Jima, Enemy at the Gates....

These are just a sampling off the top of my head.
