Are the kill bill movies suppsoed to be chessy and stupid?!
Question: in my opinion these are two terrible movies that the world could have done without but it seems there is a big fan base for them and i cant come to understand why, is it the corny music mixed with the rediculus fight scenes, or the bad dialogue throughout the entire series? please somebody explain

You must be very young. Its an homage to 70's movies. The first for kung fu and the second for crime films.
The movies are meant to be homages to the ultimate cheesy/poorly made movies: 1970s kung fu films and "spaghetti" westerns.
So yes, they're supposed to have a high cheese factor.
well I think that the Kill bill movies were not made to be viewed as a serious movie. I think they made then the way they did because they thought the current polls of the theater said that was what was hot, maybe not now but then. also individuals always have different opinions on different movies. Kill bill is just one of those movies you watch but don;t look to closely if you know what I mean.
They're really good movies. It's not the director's and writer's fault that a lot of people (including you) can't think enough to understand the complexity of the plot. I LOVE those movies because of the plot behind them and the flashbacks and assassin bios and stuff. Just because you can't grasp your mind around a complex idea is no reason to hate a good movie.
You obviously never appreciated the superbly bad story lines and bad acting of kung fu movies of the 1970's. Those who have an affinity for that supercheese genre hold Kill Bills near and dear. It's a small niche with a huge fan base, most of whom are still in the kung fu closet.
I actually like them for the martial arts. I am a martial artist and have actually used some of those moves in real life. I also like the fact that the bad guy got exactly what he deserved and that it was a chick who kicked *** instead of the guy like it always is. I don't think they are too cheesy. Some of the fight scenes and dialogue were not very realistic, but most of the fight scenes were real and could happen top anybody. Especially in the first kill bill where she goes to that black woman's house and they get into that knife fight. Someone could have had that happen to them. Also in the coma ward, think about some of the nurses who take advantage of those women. There have been dateline episodes about abuse in hospitals and nursing homes, so that's not too far off from reality. I thought they were great movies. I own both of them. I think they are movies for the martial artist or people who like those old Kung Fu Wu Tang Bruce lee movies.

Cheesy yes. ultra violent? for sure. funny, Iaughed when that blood blew out. I saw it first in an outdoor theatre at Diego Garcia, way out in the Indian Ocean. The movie is entertaining in a twisted way. I give it 4 of 5 tatoos(Cobby's tatoo movie review parlor on Yahoo 360).
They are supposed to be cheesy and clever. I guess if you haven't seen the movies Tarentino lifts his ideas from, you won't get it. Myself, I have seen a lot of a Japanese films over the years so I liked part one the best. The fact that Chiaki Murayama and Sonny Chiba were in the film kind of says Tarentino intended to go heavy on the fromage. I'd rather watch Zatoichi vs. Yojimbo or Django for about the 100th time than most of today's Hollywood blockbusters.
First I don't think of it as cheesy. Secondly it is of the genre of revenge Heathers and kung-fu films like Drunken Master, samurai films like Lady Snow Blood, and classic not just spaghetti westerns, like High Noon. I will add that just because it is cheesy doesn't make it bad, Edward Scissor Hands was cheesy too and it is a classic, so was the Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder.
Now your opinion is that the movies are cheesy and stupid and I argue that they are not. The cinematography, sound design, and soundtrack, the acting, the fight choreography are all top notch.
However if this movie just didn't work for you I suggest Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon it is one the most beautiful movie I have ever seen and it is a "serious" kung-fu film.
You would find them much better and funnier if you grew up with old kung fu movies. That is what Tarantino is going for, the modern kung fu action flick with plenty of cheesy scenes and dialogue, and names. I think their great, and I think he's a brilliant filmmaker, but I grew up with these older movies.
