Pride & Prejudice - Original vs New Version. Which is better?!
Question: I have seen both versions....which do YOU like better and why???? Just curious.

I think both versions are good... the original version is probably better because you get to know the characters better and the Mr. Bingly in the new one just freaked me out with that hair of his. I love Keira Knightly and I don't care much for Jennifer Ehle, but all in all, I think the LONGGGG older one is better. I own them both though.
The book. Because you can't improve on Ms. Jane herself.
What do you consider the "original"? The 1940 film? The 1995 TV miniseries? Or one of the other TV shows or miniseries?
OK so Iv'e not seen any of the old versions (be them TV series or feature length) but I have read the book which I loved and I absolutely adored the new film with keira knightley in.
There are many versions. Also there are miniseries and movies.
Favorite mini series is the 1995 starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle, that's awesome I watched it (no kidding) more than a 100 times!!
Favorite movie is the 2005 starring Keira Knightley, now that is good but no way near the 1995 mini series (only watched it 5 times).
The movie Pride and Prejudice (1940) starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier, sucked big time!
The book is much much better, and the only version of the movie I've seen is the one with Kierra Nightley, but I think it's supposedly better than the others.
