I Am Legend?!
Question: who else agrees that I Am Legend will be an insult to Masterson's novel? Especially considering Will Smith is to play to play Robert and the CGI will be thru the roof. For those of you that have read the book, are you curious in seeing it, or will you be cursing it like I am?

I don't know, Its similar to a twighlight zone episode, where a guy was the last one on earth and all he loved to do is read and he was at the national library in DC or something and he broke his eyeglasses
No I'm looking forward to it. Sure iRobot may have defiled Isaac Asimov's corpse, but I look forward to seeing the adaption of this book. Sure the Golden Compass wasn't very good either... not to mention....
what can i say, i'm optimistic when it comes to adaptations.
I say that its a sorry copy of the idea for resident evil.
im not sure, I haven't read the book, but I have been looking forward to this movie for nearly a year.
This is the third time the book is being made into a movie, and they still can't get it right. I agree I do think it's an insult to the novel in many respects. However this film is nothing like the novel in that it only takes the title of the book and nothing else. The book takes place in L.A., the movie NY. Robert is suposed to be an out of shape older guy who has survived, not a guy who is in shape and ready to battle. I think the only thing the film did get right is the look of the vampires which look the same as the artwork on the cover of the book.

There are alot of stories like that, just '' IN GENERAL''. I think that has been Wills' Strongest ROLE EVER.
He is going to get so many awards, for that role.
You should see the movie, regardless of its like another story, or watever, its' a great movie.
Just because the Neville(twitches finger) guy is not AfricanAmerican in the book, doesn't mean Will Smith won't display excellence. Will Smith is a pro, he's been acting for eons, and I haven't seen a single flaw in his work. Any racial differences won't really affect an adaptation much. Who do you think can play the role of the last man on earth(maybe)other than Will Smith?
I think I might enjoy this movie actually.
I never read the books. CGI thru the roof then it will look like a video game and I hate movies like that anymore.
I'll watch the movie for free somewhere, I'm not a huge will smith fan, but hes not a bad guy. I think hes a good family man and a good role model for kids.
