Personally, I found the movie way too long for a simple plot. Certain scenes tend to get a little draggy, but if you are just looking for some entertainment and laughter, you can consider it!
I haven't seen it.... But I'll betcha anything that it is worth seeing! The trailors on TV look fairly funny. And I hear that this movie got made after some opposition from disinterested parties. So....my guess is that it's good..

In short, it isn't very funny, the chipmonks are occasionally cute, but usually weird looking. The acting (by humans) is bad, especially Dave's girlfriend. The plot is contrived and predictable, and the musical numbers suck.
If you liked the Garfield movies or have kids under 10, go for it. Otherwise, wait for video.
