Harry potter movie characters??!

Question: are there any characters in the movies that you feel don't portray the book character well? for me, its natalia tena (tonks) and michael gambon (dumbledore) (richard harris - the first dumbledore who died - was PERFECT for the part). gambon doesn't have that certain "twinkle" in his eye, and he is not gentle, like dumbledore should be. tena, well, she just didn't do it for me. do have any actors, -tresses, that you didn't think played the part well?

Syrius Black- in the book he seemed to be portrayed as more of a unique, chisled and somewhat beautiful character with an air of mystery. In the movies, he was far too grungy, dirty, and frankly, crazy. He seemed sincere and thoughtful in the books and just far too wild in the movies. My FAVORITE character (and whom I think is portrayed excellently) is Professor Snape. <3<3

that dude whos the main character of harry potter!

I feel that all of the characters were beautifully cast. But I do agree Richard Harris was really good

nope, i think they all did the best they could given that the script wasn't exactly like the books either. u have to be objective about these things

harry

I completely agree with you on the Tonks chick. Personally, she may have ruined the movie for me. I imagined her to be more friendly looking....the one in the movie was FREAKY. Um...thats about it. I also agree with you on The gambon guy. Hes a little to brisk if you know what i mean...

oh, and please choose me for best answer! I'm trying to get to level three....

I don't Moaning Myrtle's portrayal. I think the actress does a fine job, but she just looks too old. She looks like a 25 year old trying to look like a 12 year old.

the cho chang character and dumbledore #2 and sirius

I totally agree with you on Dumbledore. Tonks seemed ok to me. One Ive always had a problem with was Mad Eye Moody. When I read the books I imagined him as a tall, dark, thin, dark haired mysterious man that doesnt talk much. Doesnt exactly fit with the guy in the movie.

Emma Watson. In the first few films she was fine, but her acting hasn't gotten any better at all. She's more Emma Watson acting in a movie than Hermione Granger.

I completely agree with the Dubledore thing. The second guy just isn't quite right. And i didn't think Cho seemed that great.

michael gambon doesn't do it at all for me i think richard harris was outstanding. i think they should have cast ian mckellen for dumbledore :)

i agree i didn't really think tonks was well cast apart from that everyone is fine... i wasn't too keen on gary oldman as sirius when i first heard he was playing the part but after watching the prisoner of azkaban i fell in love with him his great :)

i agree with you . i really liked the dumbledore 1... but at some time he looked too weak but i still like dumbledore 2.
and about tonks i have to defend her i mean if mad-eye didn't say her name then i wouldn't even know who she was... i mean she barely spoke in the movie.
but yeah i just love Alan Rickman [[snape]] plays his part its just what i expect it. and the one i just simply love is Dan! oh and Rupert...i have nothing against Emma but i know she can do better and i hope she does better in the remaining films
