I Am Ledgend movie question...Don't read if you haven't seen!!!!?!

Question: I thought the scene where he got caught in the zombie's trap was great, but very scary but I'm confused on how it was set up....I can't remember the exact words but he was talking earlier in the movie about the infected having lost all human instincts or whatever, so how were they able to set a trap? If the infected were now only thinking on an animalistic plane then how were they intelligent enough or observational enough to trap him using his own example/idea? I know it was just a movie but it made me question how it all flowed together... I still think it was an amazing movie but I'd like some thoughts on that one scene.

Neville was WRONG. His assumptions about the zombies were wrong. They COULD think and learn and feel. That zombie exposed himself to sunlight because Neville was taking his girlfriend. They set the trap by figuring out how Neville set his.

I agree about the bridges, though -- I was wondering how she DROVE onto the island and off again!

that movie was awesome!! ya that part confused me a bit too... but i think what he meant by losing human instincts, he meant that they aren't civilized and they don't really have any of the human feelings they had before... not that they aren't intelligent anymore.

I thought about that too. I just think that is one of the few things in the movie they did not think through very well.

i just kind of took it that the dark seekers were learning from neville. they saw what neville was doing and they just repeated it. great movie though

i think they had the ability to learn. you see how a couple of scenes before he trapped the mutant chick. and the "leader" stuck his head and screamed At "Robert" i think that scream meant "ill get you back beech"

I think that they harbored some human thoughts still. Because why else would he try to come into the light for the female that Neville caught? It makes sense because then he took something that Neville Loved away from him, like he took the woman from the Zombie

Maybe his assumptions were wrong. Even animals can mimic human behavior.

What got me was how the woman and child drove off the island after all the bridges were destroyed. Including I assume the tunnels? But then I'm assuming again.

i think they where kinda evolving thats why they got the idea monkey see monkey do type thing.
