1.Why did the fish ppl on the dutchman turn back into humans?
Because it was Davy Jone's choice to turn them into fish people, like turning them into the boat. Those people were bound to the Dutchman.
2. Why did the brethren court meet? so they can defeat beckett?
In the beginning, we see the boy holding a peice of eight, he began to sing the song 'Hoist the Colours' and that song is only sung when the Pirate race is in grave danger. Beckett was hanging all of the pirates, or those convicted of piracy, so then the song would be sung, and the Brethren Court would gather. They met because the Pirates were in danger.
3.Why did sao feng kiss elizabeth?
He thought Elizabeth was Calypso, but he kissed her because i guess he fell for Elizabeth, thinking she was Calypso.
4.What exactly are the pieces of eight?
The peices of eight are what every pirate lord carries, and they are the only things that are able to release Calypso, but the first peices of eight were used to bound Calypso, so they discovered they could use what ever was in their pockets at the time to release her.
5.why did calypso abandon davy jones?
She said 'It was my nature' and i think she meant she was never supposed to wait for Davy, and that wasen't her plan, so he could keep on helping others to the after life.
6. How come the other ships didnt fight during the maelstrom?
That is a good question. I wasen't so sure at first, but after i realized they were there as back up, if anything went wrong, because it was meant to be Pearl vs. Dutchman. And if anything went wrong, they were there. They were back-up. And they're pirates, pirates wouldn't fite if they thought they'd be killed. So maybe thats the reason.
7. what the hell does lord cutler beckett want with the pirates?
He is just a jerk, trying to kill all pirates so there wouldn't be any threats to the Caribbean, or the oceans in that matter
8.why did beckett kill elizabeth's dad?
He said that his usefulness has run its course, which means Weatherby (dad) has done all he could to help East india trading company, and that he may as well die because he's useless
9. what was calypso saying when she's a giant?
She was casting a spell for the maelstrom to be summoned
10.wouldnt will be able to be with his family if he sailed the dutchman for ten years?
Only if Elizabeth waited for him, which she did if you watched after the credits, and so now he can spend the rest of his life with his family. This was mentioned in an extra on the two disc dvd, as i've heard
11.will Will turner be fishy now that he's the captain?
No because it was Davy's choice if he wanted to be fishy or not
12.What duty does calypso give davy?
She gives him the duty of helping people into the afterlife, but since she never waited for him, he made sure the afterlife would be hard on everyone.

hey, there are alot of questions here so i thought i would help you with what i did know.
1. my guess is that they were working for Davy Jones and his corrupted purpose, and therefore were themselves corrupted.
2. the brethren court met so that they could decide what to do about beckett as a group.
3. sao feng wanted to kiss a goddess (?)
4. the pieces of eight were used to confine calypso in a human body and were needed to release her as well.
5. i can't help you here, maybe its like what she said in the second movie she was a woman as harsh and changing as the sea.
6. those two ships were the flag ships of the two sides and were the ones to follow.
7. he wants to destroy them all so that he will have no opposition on the seas and would be the most powerful man in the world.
8. he knew too much, maybe he could kill Jones himself or he could tell someone higher up what Beckett was doing.

10. i have heard that, and after i heard it, it seems to be alluded to in the film when Jones is talking to calypso.

1. They were davy jones prisoners, so they were all released when he died.
2.The people being hung in the beginning sung the song that calls together the brethren court to stop beckett
3. Soa Feng kissed her because he thought she was Calypso.
4. symbols that represent who is part of the brethren court.
5...?? She says it's in her nature...still wrong though..
