The alien killed Frye. I haven't seen the movie in awhile (but now I want to. Thanks :D ) but I do know that Riddick did not kill her. And the reason he was saying "not for me" was because Frye was not supposed to die for him. If you think back, Riddick was about to ditch the others who were in the cave and Frye shows up...he asks her if she would die for them. She said that she would try for them and that's what convinced Riddick to come back. She was supposed to die helping Jack and Imam but not for Riddick. Hope that helped.
I thought they both lived, but it's been a long time since I saw the movie. I think he said that because she was risking her life to save him and it was like you're not gonna sacrifice yourself for me. Hopefully, someone with a better memory will come along and give you a better answer. lol.
