Is Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd (that opened today)...?!

Question: Is it gory? On a scale of one to ten, ten being "I absolutely couldn't stand it, I'll have a nightmare tonight"? Did you enjoy it? For how much of the movie was there blood? Thanks.

It's definitely not a gore-fest throughout the entire movie. There are some parts when he's slitting his clients' throats, and blood spurts out, but that's the main blood that you see throughout the middle to the end of the film.

I really enjoyed this movie, a definite must-see for any Tim Burton and Johnny Depp fan. On a scale of 1 to 10 for gory-ness, I'd give it about a 5 or so..I guess it depends on what your standard for too much blood is, I'm a horror fan, so my rating could be a bit biased, however for people who like to skip the blood effects....maybe a 6 or a 7.

I haven't seen it, but a friend of mine has. he said it was really bloody, but nothing nightmarish and is really bright red.

I haven't watched it. I guess there will be lots of blood: a serial killer barber?? dear God...that'll be extremely bloody
But the combination of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman sounds like a good enough encouragement to me. I definitely want to see it.

Well, to summarize several reviews, it's extremely bloody. A lot worse in the gore department than the stage show, of course. A couple have said it's close to Kill Bill level of blood, with it squirting all over the windows and such.....

I haven't seen it, but by all accounts (including interviews with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp) it's very gory.
(Or at least bloody.)
