Mulholland Falls, No Country For Old Men, Million Dollar Baby, Amores Perros, Babel, 21 Grams, Mystic River. They were highly disturbing yet dramatic.
I would recomend 1408, 28 weeks later or "I am legend
I just saw Perfume adapted from the same name book by Siskind. About a man who has no smell but an incredible sense of smell. He murders young unspoiled girls to extract their "perfume" in order to create a scent that will enrapture the world. I also recommend reading the book for the complete story.
Fur was also interesting. It is about Diane Arbus and a freak show personality with whom she has an affair.

an older psyche-mystery is "a beautiful mind." it's pretty trippy, one of those movies where you see the end and want to watch the movie again with the knowledge of the ending.
highly recommended. i saw it in my psychology class.
