In the 1990's there was tv movie that looked like a real news broadcast?!

Question: It was about an alien or astroid attack on the earth does anyone know what I am talking about it was a long time ago so sorry I cant really tell more details. All know is at the end one reporter travels to another planet and thense sees something and the camera goes dead. then at the end they basically say were doomed and the tv went to white fuzz. Oh well maybe someone knows what i am talking about
