Answers: I saw it last night and It was very emotional

My favourite childhood movie
Absolutely love it, I've seen it 100 times.
I love how she and the other girl become friends, and imagine a huge supper going on on the attic of the house. How the little girl never gives up hope that her dad must be alive.
Great movie, and I saw it for the first time when I was about the girl's age, so it meant even more to me.

Which one:
A Little Princess (1995), Director: Alfonso Cuarón
A Little Princess (1986) (TV), Director: Carol Wiseman
A Little Princess" (1973) (TV series), Director: Derek Martinus

NO! Not yet, I haven't.

I still have to catch it, I know.
I'll let you know when I do, okay dear?

Omg, it is very emotional like you said. I could watch it over and over again...it had this element of magic and childlike wonder and the end is just tugs at your heartstrings like you wouldn't even imagine. I have never read the book before, though I should. The part with the very wise Indian man with the monkey is slightly cheesy to me (I am Indian, too) but, hey, if that is what the story was originally...then so be it. I wouldn't let the cheesy part bother me too much because it is a delightful story that emphasizes the importance of being a child, goodness and the importance of family.

Great movie but the unabridge original book by Frances Hodgkins is much better it has always been one of my favorite books
