Why is it in the movies, the guard in the warehouse always gets hit in the back !
Question: Makes you not want to be a guard, doesn't it? I learned a lot of stuff from the movies I later tried out on people in real life...

it just makes for an awkward moment if you look at someone before knocking them out, it's just a messy thing indeed
Laughing......I have often wondered the very same thing! Don't those security guards ever watch movies? Wow! You would think they would have a clue by now....(big eye-roll)..laughing....
If they hit him in the front, he wouldn't get his face on the film.
That may be because of how little they're being paid ($8-$10/hour). I have never seen any guard making $20/hour or more who was that lazy and inattentive that they would allow that to happen in real life.
Because that's their ONLY weak spot.
I don't think that they are lazy on purpose just because they are paid little. isn't it usually because the protagonist or evil person is a sneaky person and doesn't want to be caught by the guard? so.. they sneak up behind and hit them to avoid more trouble.
my best friend is a security guard... so i asked him this question. he said that " people sneak from the back. if you sneak from the front... you're not much of a sneak and hitting him on the back of the head won't do much good when he busts a clip in ya... yo." (that was a direct quote)
I answer your question with a question. In "slasher" flicks, Why do beautiful women always run into the basement or some other room where there is no way out when the killer is after them?
And I have noticed that if you stand your ground to shoot it out with the baddies, you will die
