He wanted to make sure that no one is witnessing anything about the existence of the aliens or the mysterious signs of corpses where the chest has been ripped apart.
In other words, he wanted to make sure that everyone is unaware of the alien existence. (But then, he failed)
If you watch AVP part 1, they explain how the hunt began on the earth. If the predators failed to defeat the aliens, they make sure that nothing is left behind.
