Yes yes yes....is that all that's wrong with this film though????

How about.....no story...no characterisation?....implausibility?..cg effects as exciting as a 'Frosties' ad?...and finally....an ending that no one cares about!

Anyway....what is on the end of a leg?

Are you correcting someones grammer with bad spelling???

Legend, with a capital - his name or title... So yes, it is correct.

His name could be Legend - then the grammar is correct - I am Jones or I am John.

That could be his name/nickname/code name/moniker/psudonym dunno, never seen the film

If the guy's name is Legend then it is correct....but then again you are right

Hi there.
It is grammatically precise, as per the novel (which is one of the best I have ever read, go get it!).
To explain more would be to spoil the ending, which I never do, sorry. I gather the film is different to the book (worse luck), cannot comment on that.
Cheers, Steve.

Perhaps, perhaps not, but as it is a direct quote of the main character (in the book) it is perfectly acceptable. It is the last thing he says to himself just before he dies and in fact the last words of the book.

(I agree with Steve J, an excellent book, made all the better to know it was written in 1954!)

Have you seen the movie... He is a legend... everything about him.... so they called him Legend!

Capital L, it's a proper noun, like place names and names of people.

I think it'd be better if it was "I am Leg End" myself.

His name in the film could be Legend, that could be the reason why on the commericlas, "legend" is written like this: "Legend" this suggests that it could be the name of the person. =]

well its not his name or the name of anyone else in the film

hahah
good point

All three are ok.

you are quite correct......... but then we're talking about American actors in an American film......... enough said

get your self a life laddy....

Yes, it is correct. It is just as some of the others said before me. I did not know it was a book originally though...I loved the movie (except the part with the dog-the sad part-I don't want to give it away if someone has not seen it). I always think the books are 100% better than the movies so now I will have to go out and buy the book.

Im not known to have good grammar, but I guess he was the main character, and his legend was so great it was just well enough to say "I am Legnd" but who cares the movie was fanttastic. :-)
