Question: Is there anyone else out there who thinks the old lady isn't such a bad person? Isn't there one person out there who agrees with me? My friend thinks I'm nuts, my b/f thinks I'm nuts...because I felt sorry for her. It's kinda like I understood her. I was pissed off at Cate the entire movie for cheating on her family, although. The old bat never really did anything "really" wrong did she? Admittedly, she was creepy, but was she really that bad?

She was creepy but not altogether a bad person. She should have handled things differently. And Cate's character wasn't perfect by any means.
