Water Horse or Golden Compass?!

Question: Alright. I'm baffled, I don't know what movie to see.

Should I see the Water Horse or the Golden Compass?

I've heard that the Golden Compass was a confusing movie and they didn't cover many things about the history of it- also poor camera movement? It also looks a little cheesy.

The Water Horse, although I'm leaning towards it, is said to be rather boring for the older people? I'm 15 years old, but I want something not boring- I have fallen asleep in movies before.

I'm also seeing this alone, so I don't really want a 'family' movie- I want something that will 'wow' me.

If you're a 15 year old girl than I highly suggest seeing "P.S. I Love You" instead of either of those. I also heard Juno was really good. And if you want a 'wow' movie than you should probably see National Treasure instead. I've heard non-stop negativity about the Golden Compass and how it doesn't really end and how dissapointing the visuals are. As for the Water Horse, it looks too much like "Babe" and Charlotte's Web" which are all about being family movies.

However, if it has to be one of the two movies that you've written...go see the Water Horse. While the Golden Compass got a 43% at rotten tomatoes, Water Horse got a 70% and everybody seemed satisfied by the time it ended.

Well it really depends on the age I am 16 and I watched both movies golden compass put me to sleep it was really boring confusind but I caught up on some zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Water Horse was awsome
if i were to choose between them, i would choose water hore goldan compass is just a waste of money

Honestly, I agree with the first post. I am also a teen and wouldn't consider seeing either of those movies. PS I Love You or Juno would be an excellent choice. I saw Juno on Christmas day, and WOW, I absolutely LOVED it! Go watch it, I guarantee you will like it.

It is such a cute and hilarious movie.

I know it is only a movie, but as a Catholic and if you are even Christian or Jewish I would suggest anything but TGC. It may also seem Innocent but you re own morals and Love for God are in Question here. Why would someone want to see a movie set to attract children like that, and what was Nicole Kidman thinking ?
