TBI: Bourne is an assassin for the CIA who went on a hit to kill an African dude on his boat. He messed up the hit because of his kid and found himself in the Mediterranean Sea without his memory. He travels to Zurich to access his bank lock box, gets money and a bunch of fake passports, and pays a girl, Marie, to drive him to somewhere else in Europe. The CIA thinks he went rogue and tries to kill him while he tries to find out his identity. Of course he falls in love with Marie.
TBS: He and Marie have moved to India living in peace and out of the limelight. A Russian dude stages a robbery/murder at a CIA office in Berlin and plants Bourne's fingerprints at the scene. Joan Allen tries to track Bourne down. Meanwhile the Russian dude sends an assassin to kill Bourne and Marie. He shoots Marie in a car chase and she dies but Bourne lives. He goes to Berlin to figure out why they're tracking him. He figures out that Brian Cox is the real bad guy who framed him and after getting him to admit it on tape, kills himself. Bourne also finds out that he killed a Russian politician and his wife at a hotel there in Berlin. He goes back to Russia to apologize to the daughter and in the process, kills the assassin who killed Marie.
It is still all about him trying to find his past and them trying to kill him.

He was a trained assassin. He lost his memory and then got it back. He didn't like what he had been "brainwashed" into doing, ex-employers tried to stop him.
That was about it I think? (Or was that just the first one, the second one doesn't stand out in my memory.)
