Is there a sequel to king kong?!

Question: Do you mean the original one? Yes, there is: "The Son of Kong" (1933), starring Robert Armstrong as Carl Denham; Helen Mack as the romantic interest, this time for Denham;
Frank Reicher returning as Captain Englehorn; and Victor Wong returning as Charlie the Cook. BTW: It should be noted that this is not the same Victor Wong who appears in such films as "Big Trouble in Little China".

IMDB summary:
After the disastrous results of his last expedition, Carl Denham leaves New York aboard a ship to escape all the trouble. After a mutiny, he and a few companions are left behind on Skull Island, where they meet a smaller relative of King Kong and make friends with him.

NOTE: "Queen Kong" is a parody. Most people do not count it as a sequel unless it's to the awful one with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange. It might qualify there. Some others have done stray Kong movies. I can't believe anyone considers these sequels either, just attempts to cash in on the name. They are their own separate lines of Kong films perhaps.

I haven't heard if Peter Jackson will attempt a sequel. I certainly hope it's better than what he gave us in his remake. I was overwhelmingly disappointed by it after his brilliant LOTR trilogy. What happened?!

EDIT: Oh! I had wiped out those awful sequels to the Bridges/Lange one! I wonder how Linda Hamilton happened into that mess. Sometimes, it probably looks a lot better on the printed page. Only, the DDL remake should have been warning enough. An awful lot of shoddily shameful films have been made in the name of Kong. At least they make the Peter Jackson one look a tad better.

I don't believe so.

kinky kong- it exists- look it up!!!

no the sixtys had done abut five films on king kongthey were good

its not a sequel its just a remake

Yes, there is one. It's called "Queen Kong", it's being released by Universal in July 2009.

i know the original had at least 1 sequel

the 1976 one had a interesting one "King Kong Lives"

it deals with a science experiement to replace Kongs heart that is slowely giving out (he's held in a prison place)

however when a female kong is found, Kong escapes to mate with her.

Linda Hamilton plays a scientist out to help stop him

Yes there is. Peter Jackson is doing a sequel with the same cast members from his Kong movie. As in the 1930s he is calling it "Son Of Kong".
