Question: How did will smith end up being the only person not infected when you live in a city that has 8 million people who lives there. Would it be other people who lives there not infected? yea what nathan said, but will had the military to protect him, which brings up the other question, whent he military protected him, dod he have to kill the military personnel that did eventually get infected and if he there were others with him that protected him that didn't get infected, were are they, maybe they believed there was a refuge like that lady believed and left him by himself eventually and he stayed were he was to perfect the cure.
There were others not infected but they were attacked & killed by the infected.
He's supposedly the only one immune to it due to some genes or something.
In the original book, the main character suffered from a disease previously that helped make him immune.
There are people who are just immune to the virus.. just because they are. Will was one of them and there were probably others in New York, but they were probably killed or ran away somewhere else or something.
