Eragon part 2?!

They're probably going to try, or have tried already and failed. The 1st movie wasn't that good anyway. The movie felt like it was going by to fast, and they should of taken out some parts of the movie. They are trying to copy Lord of the Rings, but they failed to do that. If Peter Jackson(director of Lord of the Rings) had directed the movie, then Eragon would be good. The movie Eragon said every single word the book said. Not too much effort in the making. So, whether they make a 2nd movie or not is their choice. I haven't seen any trailers of Eragon 2 in ever, so I don't know.
It's doubtful. It didn't perform well enough in the theatres compared to what it cost to make the film. If there is a sequel, it will most likely be direct to dvd with a much lower budget or something like that. I wouldn't get any hopes up though.
