My theory on star wars?!
Question: When palpatine says he has foreseen luke killing him and joining the dark side, what he really saw was just the chosen one killing him. He thought luke was he and assu,ed that when luke killed him, he woul join the dark side, insteaddarth vader reavealed himself to be the chosen one and killed palpatine.

First, the line about Palpatine foreseeing Luke kill him came from Vader ... not Palpatine. It is near the end of the duel on Cloud City after Vader has "disarmed" Luke.
Vader: "Luke you can destroy the Emperor ... he has foreseen this ... It is your destiny."
Palpatine never says anything about it in the movies however ... your theory does have merit but does have a few holes in it. The biggest one is that Palpatine did know that Anakin/Vader was the "Chosen One" ... that he was destine to destroy the Sith and bring the Force into balance. Palpatine's greatest weakness, his arrogance, is shown by his belief that he has turned Vader into his slave and that he would have no problem watching Palpatine "fry" his son. His mistake was to underestimate the power of the love between a father and a son ... no matter how long it has been it will always be there.

Obviously, Luke didn't join the Dark Side, but his Pops left the Darks to join Luke in the Light. You're probably right, that Palp saw himself being killed by someone from the Dark Side and assumed it was Luke who was switching sides at the time.
Palpatine never said that Luke would kill him. He said, "Strike me down and your journey towards the Dark Side will be complete." As in if Luke does it, not Luke will do it.
But other then that it was a good idea.
