I am ledgend ending?!
Question: I understood that in the end Anna (i think that was her name) and her son made it too the safe community of the survivors, but what I don't understand was what Robert figured out before. Before he sacrificed himself, he gave her a vile of blood and said it was the answer all along. What I thought it meant was that if the creatures consumed his blood they would become cured. Is this right? What was your take on the end?

1. usually when an uninfected human is bit with an infected human then they become infected (like tag or something). neville was immune to this. however, he wasn't immune to them eating him... so they could eat him but not infect him.
2. at the end he saw several butterfly which seemed to be clues that told him that this was the time and the place for the cure to be found... so he just "figured out" that the cure was in her blood. so going back to #1, the zombies could eat neville and they would not be cured but if they ate the other zombie chick that was getting cured then they too would be cured...
3. anyways, i though it was a decent movie but overall a big disappointment because i thought it was going to be a lot better. in my opinion, will smith acted terrificly but the directing was nothing special, there was no "moving" music (they should have hired john williams), and the ending seemed a bit rushed.
No it meant that the answer was in that "zombie" or whatever's blood. It had to do with her blood. He sacrificed himself so Anna and her son could get out.
He didnt say that was the answer all along... he said this is the answer, he figured it out by cooling down the body temp letting the vaccine work. and since it was in that ones blood the rest could be cured as well using the microbes in her blood.
Even if ammune you should add some protection! he made a cure that worked on himself, if more people took it would help!! build more anti virals!!
