Texas Chainsaw Massacre Question?!

Question: In the begging of "the begging" the mother gives birth and it is wierd, i dont remember exactly but somthing disturbed me about it, it wasnt normal

but the question i really wanna know if it really happend because it said on one of the movies that it did happen and i just wanted to know if it did, is he ever caught or dead? but i looked on wikipedia for leatherface (btw has his face ever been revealed) and they said it was inspired by a man who used human flesh for things so is it real or not?

The story of Leatherface and the Texas Chain Saw Massacre (original movie, sequels, remake, and beginning) are all very very loosely based on the serial killer Ed Gein (he was also the loose basis for Norman Bates in Psycho, Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs).

But the actually storyline used in any of the films is not a real story at all. Leatherface never existed he was just very loosely based on Gein and other similar serial killers.
They state in the original (1974) and in the remake (2003) a voice over is done at the beginning of the film that states the events were based on a true story, but in actuality they were not at all. This was just done to make the story scarier and seem more real to life, similar to the way they marketed the fictional Blair Witch Project as real when in actuality it was not.

They Texas Chainsaw massacre is based on areal person... Its mainly a guy named Ed Gien that lived in Wisconsin, he would go and rob peoples graves, and wear their skin. Theirs a movie that is really about him, Its called Ed Gien (get the old one, not the new one) I've also heard its about alot of serial killers, Ed Gien, Jeff Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy... Some people might say it really happened in Texas just like that, but I haven't....Let me know if this helped any.

There was a guy that actually did things like that and was caught but it think the movie was just based on it which means some things probobly did or did not happen in the movie
