Question: HMMM...RATHER RANDOM IF U ASK ME..not only this question but 'here's Johny'

Answers: HMMM...RATHER RANDOM IF U ASK ME..not only this question but 'here's Johny'

Ed McMahon, from Lowell, Massachusetts was Johnny Carson's sidekick (before branching out to host "Star Search") and would introduce him to each night's audience with an exaggeratedly long "Heeeeeeeeere's Johnny." It was Ed's signature call, and it was a signal for the start of the party.

Nicholson's character's use of the phrase is blackly humorous. Like Ed he's announcing that the party has started, but it's a hunting party whose goal is to kill his wife. It is not the fun party which was the "Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon and Doc Severinsen.

Hi. That was John McMahon's famous introduction each night for Johnny Carson. Went more like "Heeeeeerrrrrreeeesss JOHNNY!"

lol i dont know but best of luck with you search

Because he's a crazy nut who stayed up all night watching Johnny Carson marathon of reruns!!

yeah it is random

Yes, everybody thinks so. Jack Nicholson ad-libbed it, that's why in the TV version with Steven Weber that scene wasn't included.

Nicholson added the line to make it random and shows that Jack had really gone crazy, Stanley Kubrick (the director) decided to let the line in the movie.
