The original was much better, it really made you feel like the people in the house were threatened and there was a much better sense of suspense. It had a really original feel at the time and stood out from other slashers of the time. The new one is ok but its got nothing that puts it above any of the other modern day slashers that are churned out all the time. In terms of feel and originality it doesn't compare to the original, which was much more enjoyable.
i've only seen the remake so i can't say...but i loved it!!!!

never seen it, whats it about? apart from Christmas that is! lol
It's pretty crappy but it's ok if you're looking for a bit of brainless fun. The original is much better, the two films aren't really anything alike. The first one worked on suspense and barely showed anything and the second one shows a bit too much.
