I love it. I'm trying to get my 7 year old daughter into it so I have an excuse to keep watching it. My high school yearbook editor wouldn't let me use "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. prepare to die" as my senior quote. I've never gotten over it.
It's a wonderful film, and surprisingly close to the book. I strongly recommend reading the book first, it is such a rich and pelasurable tale. Goldman did a heck of a job of writing it.
The film has one memorable moment after another. It begins a bit slowly, but so did the book - the opening, however, sets up all the succeeding events, so pay attention.
Look for the man with 6 fingers ... watch out for the clever duel of wits ... see the fearsome ROUS attack ... thrill to the daring rescues ... cry with the heartbroken lass ... hiss at the evil villains ... and roll all over the floor at Miracle Max's antics!
And never forget, true love conquers all!
It's a story even a little boy and his grandpa can share!
