Are thy still going to make a sequel to boondock saints?!

Question: Hi Matt!

How can anyone say "I hope not!" or call it "lame". That's blasphemy!! ;-)

Troy Duffy - writer and director of the original - still claims there is going to be a sequel. They ran into some legal problems over rights to the film and had to fight that battle, but from what I have heard they won. Supposedly Fox has backed the sequel and it has double the budget of the original film. (Which is good because although I am a HUGE fan and LOVED the movie ... the ending could have been better!) From what I read they had to scramble to finish the ending due to the budget which is why it was pretty rough.

Willem Dafoe is the only one who isn't returning. Other than that it is supposed to have the same cast and for now the names might be "Boondock Saints: All Saints Day" or "The Second Coming". I have no idea when it will be completed, so all we can do is hope and wait I guess.

Most everyone I know loved the original and can't wait for the sequel. For those I've talked to that don't get it ... perhaps you have to be Irish ... or Catholic ... or both. lol I am both ~ so perhaps that explains my infatuation! If I hear anything else I will email you! =)

"And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee...
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti."

Peace.
