Why are the "______ movies" still being made?!

Question: When I was in Middle School, I really liked the Scary Movie franchise. I liked the 1st and 3rd and thought the other two were "meh". When I heard "Date Movie" was coming out, I thought, "Oh this will be fun, it's two of the same guys." and it was the same "meh" I got.

So when "Epic Movie" came out, I thought, "O.K, I'll go to this one and it might be O.K." But it was such a bad movie that it actually made me angry. I was angry that it was the #1 movie in America, I was angry that one of my friends actually LIKED the movie, I was angry that it didn't have any real jokes, I was angry that the writers have the sense of humor of 3rd graders, and most of all, I was angry they were actually making money off this!

So "Meet the Spartans" is the new one coming out, and I know it's going to suck even more just by watching the preview. I've learned from my mistakes and I'm not watching. Why are these movies still being made?

Dude, I totally agree with you. But after everybody saw Epic Movie, nobody is giving parodies a chance anymore. The Comebacks was the same style as Epic Movie and Date Movie. No plot and lots of references to other sports films. Sure enough, it flopped only making $13 million and everybody hated it. Walk Hard was a Johnny Cash spoof making $15 (so far) and was a box office disaster. Even though I thought Epic Movie actually looked funny, it was beyond unwatchable. Trust me, Meet the Spartans is gonna flop BIG TIME!!! Especially since its competing with Cloverfield, 27 Dresses, Untraceable and Rambo.

There is enough people willing to watch them. They still make money for the studios. If they didn't there is no way they would be able to make them.. We can blame society for watching.

The people who go see movies are mainly still in high school, and are male. So you think: male high school students= sense of humor of 3rd graders, or even of infants. They make money because these kids have mommy and daddy's check books at their beck and call. My opinion at least.

omg y do u think that the movies r so stupid that they r hilarious me and my friends watch them all the time

Because there are A LOT of stupid people out there willing to plop down their money to see these pieces of cinematic fecal matter.

I would agree with you that these movies have the intelligence level of 3rd graders. But then that's insulting to 3rd graders. I mean, is anyone else as tired as I am with the stupid poop and fart jokes?

I'm not expecting Shakespeare from a comedy, but Jesus titty f*cking Christ! But why do they all have to repeat the same boring gimmicks and toilet humor as every other lame azz, sucky comedy that comes out nowadays?

Then I remember that there are people out there who actually LIKE this crap.

The American Pie franchise needs to stop making movies. By the time American Wedding came around, they were using a lot of the same jokes that were completely played out. Now they keep trying. It's rediculous.
