No. The movie changes too much to even resemble The Illiad. It removes the gods from the mix and their involvement in the lives of the mortals and tries to give a plausibility to something that didn't really need it. I don't read classic lit for it's plausibility I read classic lit to be entertained. Alot of times in fiction the most implausible of things are that way because they are meant to shed a light on the human condition. That is what is at the heart of the original poem and is what is sorely lacking in the film of Troy.
Homework?
The movie changed a number of plot points, the most irritating one being that Achilles did not live to attack the city from inside the Trojan Horse (whereas they had him alive at that point in the film).
