Anything ... and I do mean ANYTHING that is said at supershadow.com is a total and complete lie ... the man is a demented fraud of the first magnitude. He claims that he is a LucasFilm "insider" and that he is good buddies with Lucas himself. This couldn't be farther from the truth. The only people that SS (supershadow) knows from the Lucas camp are its lawyers ... I've lost track of the number of "cease and remove your crap from your site or we will smash you like the insect you are ..." court orders that LucasFilm has filed against this idiot. I've often wondered why George just doesn't smash this guy and have him put in jail but it the end I think he tolerates him for a simple reason ... any "buzz", even false "buzz" is good buzz these days.

So in short ... no, there will not be any new Star Wars movies and SuperShadow is a complete fraud.

It has been said here that there were supposed to be 3 trilogys ... the first would be about the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker ... the second would be about the rise of Luke Skywalker and the redemption of Anakin Skywalker ... the third was to be about the "other Skywalker" that Yoda spoke of in TESB. One of the more ironic things about SW was that up until Lucas was about half way through writing the script for ROTJ Leia wasn't the other Skywalker. The problem Lucas was having was the final duel between Luke and Vader. Luke had basically given up and was refusing to fight his father. Lucas was stumped on what he could do to make Luke attack his father in a dark side fueled rage ... he solved that problem by making Leia the "other Skywalker" and having Vader threaten her. This had two major effects ... first it made most fans say "eeewwww" when they thought of all the lip-lock time between brother and sister and two, it elimated ep 7 - 9.

Now it's a known fact that Lucas has the ability to change his mind with the wind direction or to give different answers to the same question and then say his comments were taken out of context however ... two statements have been the same since the release of ROTS ... those two things are first, there will be no new movies ... the story he wanted to tell has been told ... second, he would not allow someone else to pick up where he left off and do more movies. Some people get upset with that statement but if you think about it there can be sense made out of it ... think of it this way, would you let somebody take your wife away and do what they wanted to her ... kind of a crude way of putting it but it does fit with how Lucas thinks about his "cash-cow" saga.

God I hope not. Well, I guess they can't suck as much as 1,2 and 3.

Mr Lucas has said in interviews over and over again that he would never make the last 3 films.
I don't think he will.

No, and let us all hope that it stays that way!

I hope not. 1, 2, and 3 were bad enough. Then he had to go and mess with the originals too! I liked the old school ones. CGI sucks.

no. i far as i am aware, there are storylines to them. hence all the book series out there. but he's down with making star wars movies. perhaps someone else would make them later on down the road.

what more could he tell in THREE more films?? i doubt he will make them.....

Why doesn't he let someone else make them? Everyone would love the chance! Just like the Alien movies.

Not any more and to make matter worse, he is not allowing anyone to take the mantle from him

No. I did read some of the other answers to your question and I disagree that the first trilogy was so bad. Granted, George Lucas could have made better movies.
When Episode III was released, George Lucas denied any rumors that there was a third trilogy to be made. I know that he has other projects that he wants to work on.

Back in the day, Mr. Lucas said that the original Star Wars was the first film in a trilogy, that there was a trilogy of films set before Star Wars and that there was another trilogy of films set after, making nine films in all. The only constant, he said, were the two droids, R2D2 and C3PO.

It took Mr. Lucas some time to complete the trilogy that began with Star Wars, and it took him another decade-and-a-half to get into making the other trilogy. Given that timetable, he might start making the first film of the final trilogy in 2012.

As of now, he is not working on any additional Star Wars films, nor does he have any active plans to do so. However, this does not exclude him from deciding to work on that last trilogy at some time in the future. He says that he will not make any more Star Wars films, but then, he said that after making Return Of The Jedi, so he could change his mind again.

The only movie he is working on right now is _Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull_, for which he serves as executive producer. He is listed as the executive producer of a film called _Red Tails_, which will tell the story of the Tuskeegee Airmen, but that film does not have a director or cast attached, according to imdb.com, so it likely is more of an idea right now than a film-in-progress. (Mr. Lucas has been known to talk up projects that never come to be; he has talked for a while about a television series based on Star Wars Clone Wars, but that project never seems to materialize.)

The last non-Star Wars, non-Indiana Jones film that he worked on was Radioland Murders, which he co-wrote. It was released in 1994, and had George Burns in the cast. The last non-Star Wars movie that he directed was American Grafitti, back in 1974 (before he started working on Star Wars). Star Wars is more than his franchaise, it is his life. He may well feel pulled back to Star Wars some day. But, that day has not yet arrived.

I highly doubt it, and I think the entire series so far ends nicely. To make more would just be overkill.
