Question: Ok, so I heard that Chris Farley was going to originally play Shrek, and actually recorded most of the movie, but died before he was finished recording and so they got Mike Myers to do it instead. Is this true???

Wow, yes! FROM IMDB: Was originally cast as Shrek in Shrek (2001) and even recorded the dialogue. However, after his death, the role was given to fellow "Saturday Night Live" (1975) performer, Mike Myers.

Yeah, Shrek would have been before 2001 but Farley died so they had to find somebody else.
I love Chris Farley and he had dozens of movie deals coming to him thank you for remembering him.
