Some of his stuff I like and some don't. He has courage to do different things in Hollywood, and that, (whether you like him or not) is to be commended.
The last thing we needed was another movie about Christ. He should have stuck to being Riggs.
Apocalypto sucked. Passion was equally stupid- just one big gorefest. Gibson sucks.
I think he certainly has a lot going on upstairs. I think he walks the thin line between madness and genius, yeah. Like Salman Rushdie or Salvador Dali. You can tell that he is highly influenced by his Catholicism and that he has clear visions of his personal beliefs which he is adamant about sharing with the masses.
