Answers: BEST 1) 300

WORST 2) Alexander The Great (Colin Farrel)

note: "I didn't know Alexander had a Irish accent"?

Best: O' Brother Where Art Thou

Worst: Though it isn't a myth, I agree with you TOTALLY! Alexander is the WORST. My old roommate and I couldn't get through it. We were laughing so hard--we just had to stop.

Best: 300
Worst: Troy (Achilles has a Midwest accent? Couldn't Brad Pitt have at least tried an accent? He's done it before!)

best Beowolf
worse 300 I did not know leonitis had an Irish accent and the 6'5" gay muslim with more gold than Mr. T wearing a diaper, c'mon.

300 isn't Greek mythology. It's just Greek.

The old "Hercules" movie with bodybuilder Steve Reeves was a classic and the special effects were the best of that time. The bad movies had to be some of the older so called "B" movies which are like a lot of movies that are made for video outlet and not the major screen.

Neither of those films are mythological. The Spartans did have that battle, and Alexander the Great is not fictitious. So, what do you want us to give: best and worst mythological film or best and worst historical film?

You pay attention to accents? Then, why don't you fret about no one having accents that would even begin to approach the language they spoke? You can't really pick on accents in films, because films are rarely accurate. TV shows also are a mix of accents. So, don't point a finger at the star when everyone else is guilty, too.

By the way, I enjoy all mythological films, even if they aren't done very skillfully. Such movies are rare, so I appreciate them.

As for good and bad historical films, I have too many favorites to be able to pick just one. And, I haven't seen an awful movie set that far in the past. If they have to be during Ancient Greece, I'll vote for "The 300 Spartans", which precedes "300" by many decades and is more down to Earth. But, even the low-budget sword-and-sandal movies are a lot of fun.

For mythology, there's no doubt about it: "Jason & the Argonauts"~the Ray Harryhausen version.
