Do you listen to others about movies?!

Question: or check them out for yourself. do you care what people and critics say about movies if there good, bad, awful, wonderful, or do you not pay attention to any of that. like i might want to rent hotrod but i have read a decent amount of reviews from people here, friends, other websited and a majority say the movie did not make any sense and there were only a few funny parts. out of 100 reviews maybe 7 or 8 said they really liked it, all the other said it was bad so i probly will not check it out. what im saying is do you listen to what people have to say or do if you want to see then you will see it no matter what people say becuz there not always right

Usually, I will glance at what the critics have to say and then see the movie for myself, just to see if I agree. Most of the time, I don't. Critics have to make tough decisions on movies and throw their own opinions into it. Critics are supposed to examine every aspect of the movie and rate it on that, rather than just the plot and the jokes. I did see the movie Hot Rod and found the plot to be very stupid but I loved the jokes. If you need a movie, just to laugh it, it's hilarious. It's along the lines of Napolean Dynamite and Balls of Fury, plot-wise but the jokes are funny. But that's just me, I don't think what the critics say matter because they're only rating the movies to get paid. And besides, just because a critic doesn't like, doesn't mean the public won't. Look at movies like Enchanted, which lost points from critics but was the smash hit of December. Hope that helps!

I always hear people's views on movies but I always watch a movie before my mind is made up about it. If I absolutely don't like a movie I'll only watch it once. Sorta like Vanilla Sky, that movie did nothing for me. Or War of the Worlds. I love sci fi but I don't care for Tom Cruise and the story line sorta sucked. The book is great but that version of the movie sucked.

I hear what people say about movies but in the end I need to see it for myself.

Example: Knocked Up, Napoleon Dynamite and Borat. Everyone said these were the best movies ever, a must see, blah blah blah.

I didn't like any of them and I didn't think they were funny. I couldn't even go half an hour into Borat. The other two I finished but didn't find them that funny. So in the end I have to see everything and form my own opinion.
