I seen it in the theaters and I liked it. It was a pretty long movie and sometimes drawn out but I would say it's worth seeing !

Hope you watch it !

It was okay but for the theatre, its way too long!

My apologies for this confusion. The movie I watched and the film you asked about have the same title. How original! Why wouldn't the 2007 film choose a lengthier or different title? I would hope that it is far better than the dreadful one I saw.

I just checked on the listing, and I see that sites have "The Zodiac" (2005), which IS my stinky movie. I don't recall them using a "The" in the title sequence, which wouldn't really make sense. Maybe they did it to avoid confusion with the more recent version. There also is a TV movie about the case, and they based "Dirty Harry" on it. Harry caught the guy, humiliating him along the way. Basically, a San Francisco cop got to beat up the guy based on the guy who had been stringing along the force for a decade.

"The Limbic Region" (1996 TV movie) also is based on the Zodiac killings. "The Zodiac Killer" (1971) is a lurid and probably highly inaccurate "account" of the killings, basically intended to cash in on the furor. A copycat uses his MO in "Zodiac Killer" (2005). Last and least is "Curse of the Zodiac" (2007), obviously intended to cash in on "Zodiac" being in theaters. Face it: Next to all of these, "Zodiac" (2007) will be a jewel!

It's an excellent movie.

Just be aware that it's not a "serial killer movie" like "Seven" or "Silence of the Lambs." Instead, it's more about the cops and journalists who investigated the case, and what they did behind the scenes. The film has an "All the President's Men" vibe to it.
