Any suggestions for a tattoo based of LOTR?!

Question: I love the movies - they are a very big part of me - and I want a tattoo in "elven" tongue that represents it. But what?! I don't want it to be something cliche like "The Lord of the Rings" or the name of my favorite character - I want it to be unquie and stand out. Any ideas?

Your name in Elvish perhaps? Something that describes you?

I'm sure Peter has his own LOTR tattoo. He didn't object to the cast getting theirs done.

dont get a lord of the rings tattoo

just dont do it

Do you know the elven tongue, or do we have to try to figure out how to write in elvish on Y!A?

no man....no...

:( what would tolkien say?

Try to find a copy of "the tolkien companion". It's a book that get's into elven writing and language.
Here, in one source, is the High History of the Elven peoples. The origins of Morgoth the Enemy is clarified, as is his Fall, and the subsequent rise to power of Sauron the Great, Lord of the Rings. The heroic epic of how the Free Peoples--Elves, Men, Ents, Dwarves, and Hobbits--survived against the Peril of the Ancient World is meticulously detailed. And a guide to the various Elvish writing systems, together with explanatory maps, charts, even genealogical tables, bring the remarkable genius of Tolkien and the unforgettable world and wonder of Middle Earth to life with focus and accuracy. Presented in alphabetical order for quick and easy reference,

Are you absolutely sure that there is nothing more important to your life than some movies? Really think about this, do you want to be that sad of a person?

If yes, then good for you!

The books are full of inscriptions and slogans that would make excellent tatoos, pretty much every weapon in the narrative has somethign written on it. Flip thru a copy of a middle-earth based RPG and you should be drownign in ideas base don details that most people would have missed.

That absolutely sounds like a tattoo you will regret later in life. I'd advise against it.

How about something written in the Cirth rune language?

They were used on this Jethro Tull album cover :~

Perhaps a feminine hand holding the ring, with Galadriel's famous quote, "All will love me and despair." Sorry about the English, I can barely read warning signs and restaurant menus in Elven.

I think Bilbo Baggins would look cool or the creature that wants his precious ring back. I think everyone goes for the more known characters and if you go for one of the lesser known characters it would be unique.

dont get the wizzard dude because he has turned gay some guy got it on his back and now hes got a bender on his back and he cant get it off

why not have the elvish writing that is on the ring on your arm. as in just like the elven writing goes round the ring, the elvish writing will go round your arm but in elvish not in english like one ring to rule them all on your arm...
