I'm going nuts trying to remember a movie.....?!
Question: All the details I can remember about the movie would make people think it was the movie 'The Rookie' with Dennis Quaid. Now, it could be my memory playing tricks on me, but I remember that I saw The Rookie and really liked it but I don't seem to think that was the movie. There's a couple of reasons I say that.....first of all The Rookie was made in 1994 and I thought that the movie I was thinking of was within the last 2 to 3 years. Plus, the kid from Two and a Half Men plays Dennis Quaid's son in the movie 'The Rookie' and I would've thought that I would remember that. Can anybody else think of another movie that is similar to The Rookie but more recent? I am pretty sure it was about baseball, but maybe it was football, I just remember that it was based on a true story about a guy who made a comeback and had a professional career in his sport after being injured when he was younger.......

The Rookie actually came out in 2002. There are a lot of movies that sort of fit this title but most of the ones I can remember are not recent movies! Invincible is a football movie with Mark Wahlberg and it sort of fits your description but I can't think of any recent baseball movies that fit! Good Luck!
for love of the game?
