Horror - Salem's Lot.
Comedy - History of the World part 1

The originally Halloween. Not that crap Rob Zombie did. It was the scariest film because, in just that first film, everything is actually real, i mean it can actually happen. There is no paranormal activity. Just a psycho who goes after a stranger (she was a stranger in the first movie, and that was supposed to be the only film). He doens't get shot a million times and still live, or get brought back with devil worshippers (as seen in the series later). I love that film.

Scream

Scariest? i'd say the original halloween 1 and 2 (2 being the preference. who remembers the glass door scene near the end!! f***ing crazy)

funniest? I think dumb and dumber.

also Tracey, the new halloween is certainly not as good as the orignal i agree, but it definitely beats the sequels like H20 and resurrection *gags*

And technically, the original 2 were far more paranormal than the new one. In rob zombies, Michael gets shot a total of 3-4 times (1 by the officer in the house and 2-3 times by Loomis) whereas in the original he's stabbed in the neck by laurie, then shot 6 times by loomis, then shot 6 more times by loomis in the second one (plus, again, the glass door scene o_o)

:)

the horror film that scared me mostly was the japanese version of the ring.best comedy was Robin Hood: Men in Tights,i couldn't stop laughing!
