What is your point of view for the latest Harry Potter movie to come out?!

Question: the movie could've been way better than what it was, but for the most part it was good.

Answers: the movie could've been way better than what it was, but for the most part it was good.

the only resons i didnt like it was because that Sirius died and they took out alot of important things that were in the books. other than that it was fantastic!!

I thought it was ok...no movie ever as good as book though.

fifth one?

The first two movies, the ones directed by Chris Columbus, were very faithful to the original books. Starting with the third movie, they have picked-and-chosen what to keep in and what to not bother with. A lot of fans complain about things like Neville Longbottom, rather than Dobby, telling Harry about Gillyweed in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. I personally missed a lot of the backstory that was in the book Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban but not in the movie.

I actually liked Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix quite well. The movie before it, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, seemed quite rushed, as director Mike Newell tried to get everything in within the two-and-a-quarter hours alloted to him. I wish that he had allowed that movie to be broken into two parts, so that it could have played out a bit better. But with this one, there was some time for some exposition, for some character development, etc., without seeming to be rushed. I appreciated that.

It is true that the fight scene, as visualized by the director, cannot possibly live up to what is imagined by me from what is on the page. That's a given. With that in mind, I think that director David Yates did a fine job. He focused a bit more tightly in the fight scenes, whereas Jo Rowling had the focus going every-which-where when the big fight at the end breaks out. It worked, cinematically.

There were things in the book, including a much longer, more detailed scene between Harry and Dumbledore at the end, which were either cut out or cut back in the movie, and yet, I still didn't feel like they were rushing or were cutting too much. And reducing the part of Delores Umbridge (who is supposed to make the skin crawl) is a good thing.

The book was very long, probably longer than it needed to me, and the movie got the best parts out of that book.
