Why do I keep on saying "I Am Robot" and not "I Robot"!?!
Question: I was at the video store and I said to the clerk, Do you have "I Am Robot" in stock?.
And she was like Do you mean "I Robot" but with an smart *** attitude.
What gives!

It may be that you are just too gramatically correct. "I am robot" is a complete sentence, with a subject and a verb, whereas "I Robot" is missing a verb.
Actually, it is "I, Robot". As such, it is meant to all be the subject of the sentence. It's kind of like a legal document, such as a will, that begins, "I, John Q. Smith, being of sound mind and body, . . ."
The movie title I Am Legend may indeed also be throwing you off. It is current, and also stars Will Smith, and that can make it a bit confusing. However, they are quite different movies. (Also, "I am legend" is not good grammar, either; it should be, "I am a legend." or "I am legendary." Personally, I'd call it "Legend" and leave it at that.)
You're probably just getting messed up because of I am Legend.
haha " I am Robot" sounds like an actual robot talking.
hahaha...funny...
but you just wasted your money on that one.
Maybe I AM Robot would have been a better film?!
Punch her in the mouth! That's bad customer service! It's an honest mistake! I work in customer service for 12 years, and I never talk to customers like that! It's not your fault, sir! I'm firing that bimbo right now!
Slip of the tongue I guess, but now you've got an old song playing in my head with the lyrics changed...
"I am Robot, hear me whir... "
My brain is wired weirdly ;-)
Perhaps you would like to be a robot?
(just speculating)
"Iron Man" is coming out this year and and the Black Sabbath song is being played quite a bit. The mental stretch from "I am Iron Man" to "I, Robot" isn't that far. Perhaps that's your confusion or at least what trips you up?
