The movie, My Best Friend's Wedding?!
Question: This move has Julia roberts and Cameron Diaz in it.
Anyway, so julia roberts is in love with this guy who's been her best friend for years. But she finds out this guy is about to marry another woman. So in attempt to make him jelous, she tells her "gay" friend, George, to pretend that he's her fiance.
but anyways, in the end of the movie, George shows up again. I've always been confused on whether george was ever REALLY "gay"?....i mean cuz if he was, why did he come back at the end?? just to support her?

yes, george is gay. he's just a really good friend. he's there to support her. if you listen to what he tells her while they are talking at the end, right after the cell phone conversation, when she finds him there, it's something to the effect of 'there will never be sex, but there shall be dancing!' so, that makes me think they are just close friends.

He was gay. Not only was he gay in the movie he's gay in real life. I have used a gay man to make a straight man jealous. In fact it was his idea not mine.

I think because they were really good friends. It's like if it was a girl, she would've done the same thing for another girl friend. I would've done that for a friend, go and support her.
Yes, George REALLY was gay. He was her best friend and called her/showed up at the end of the movie, to be none other than supportive. She accepted Michael loved Kim, that everything was as it should have been, but her heart was broken for she too loved him. The last bit that George tells her on the phone is: “And he comes towards you, the moves of the jungle cat and even though you quite correctly sense he is (whispers) ‘Gay’, like most devastatingly handsome single men at his age are, you think ‘What the hell, life goes on’. And maybe there won’t be marriage, maybe there won’t be sex (he makes a face after he says that), but by god there’ll be dancing.”
George was there to be a friend, nothing more. He made her feel better, had her smiling and laughing, he lifted her spirit.
