Has the Hollywood writer's strike affected movie production yet?!

Question: yes it has in the sense of it affecting upcoming movies. any film that was due to go into pre-production without a finished script has pretty much been affected so films such as the Justice League, Oliver Stone's 'Pinkville', Depp's 'Shantaram', Transformers 2, Thor, as well as many have all been affected simply because the writers won't sign. don't expect there to be many movies in 2009 if the strike goes on for a couple of months. in fact there could be the possibility that the majority of films in 2009 might be rubbish simply because they've been rushed. and if its not resolved by june when the contract for both the actors directors guild is up and they strike as well (which i dont think they will), well...it wouldn't very good movie wise

i support the writers on the matter

POWER TO THE PEOPLE !

nope they make so much out of movies

yes

No and probably never will. When news about a strike was brewing the film companies stockpiled scripts. So now they have at least 2 years of movies piled up so it hasn't affected the movies yet.

Yes, some actors are doing films they have passed on previously because the scripts are read and they films they want to do still need work. You don't want to see many films or TV shows made without WGA writers.

If you like movies and TV you owe it to yourself to avoid scab shows like Leno,O'Brien, Stewart and the late Stephen Colbert.
