WIZARD OF OZ

Gone With the Wind
The Wizard of Oz
Casablanca
Heidi~Shirley Temple

and so many more!

I have so many favorites from that period. I was born in 1951, so the old films were what I saw most of when they started to show things on TV. They had a lot of time to fill up and only a few programs way back then. So, we learned to love all of the old movies.

I'm always happy to hear that others love them, too.

Have to say Casablanca

Some great lines. When Humphrey Bogart recalls with Ingrid Bergman their last meeting when she dumped him before the Germans reached Paris he says - "I remember the day well - you wore red, the Germans wore blue".

What about when the French captain gets on the phone after Bogart had shot the German commander and says "Round up the usual suspects".

I must have seen it 20 times over the last 30 years and I could watch it again tonite - don't say that about many films.

Anything Abbott & Costello
