If you work in a cinema (movie theatre), what are the jobs/tasks you have to do?!

Question: I work at a Cinema Complex and I did the following jobs when I first got hired:

Ushering - Clean Auditoriums after showings, sweep up after filthy people who litter or drop popcorn from their mouths.

Concession - Sell any food that the guest wants. Popcorn/Soda/Pretzel/Candy

Ticket Taker - Check tickets if they are correct and not fake; also if some are underaged.

You alternate these jobs each week. As time goes by, you'll get trained in the little more complex jobs:

Box-Office - Sell Tickets

Guest Services - Very demanding. Handling any problems, your always on call, and you are the centerpiece of help.

Projection - Film Projectionist

If you get promoted, I haven't yet;), your job becomes more of a monitor of the jobs listed and you get a bigger responsibility. You make sure every 30 minutes to pick up money from registers. You monitor other employees and check theaters if you want to throw someone out for being disruptive.

To People:

PLEASE DON'T LITTER or LEAVE TRASH in Theaters. People have to clean that and it's disgusting to see filthy trash on/under the seats. All you have to do is take it with you when your done and there's like 5 trashcans outside your auditorium.

Certainly theater partol in cleaning up the hideous mess made by the patrons.

you may have to keep people from theater hopping.

perhaps you will sell tickets or work the concession stand.

depending when you get there, vacuum the carpets and get the restrooms cleaned

Sell tickets, take ticket stubs, work the concession stand, clean the screening rooms in between movie showings, start/stop the projector, clean the lobby area, clean the bathrooms, take a general head-count of patrons viewing certain movies, and answer whatever questions a patron may ask you.

Generally, when a theatre hires someone, they'll be given whatever task needs to be done that night. Some nights you'll work only concession and clean-up, while others you'll only do tickets and such. Unless you get hired for a manager position, you'll be the theatre's grunt, along with the other employees.
