Question: Watched Kramer Vs Kramer for first time last night and was amazed i'd missed out on such a great movie.
But who do you think Billy should have gone with in the end.
His mother or father? I felt sorry for his mother, but rooted for Dustin Hoffman. Then again, his father only decided to be a good father in a time of need for his son...? Thoughts?

I think Billy should lived Ted. Joanna was a total b*tch and she was incapable of taking care of Billy anyways. Even though Ted just became close with Billy when he needed to, he still is better than Joanna who just left him like that.
Meryl Streep was awesome, I totally "hate" (the character) her as much as I loved (the character) in The Deer Hunter.
Good movie though I still can't believe Apocalypse Now lost Best picture for this simple flick.

It's been a very long time since I saw the movie, however I think he should have stayed with his dad. His dad was there for him during the difficult times. His mom walked out. I don't know I have a problem with that, doesn't seem right for a mom to just walk out. I don't understand how someone can just walk out on their kids.
Visiting rights yes, but not custody.
Both parents were basket cases. He would have been better off being raised by circus clowns.
